A much needed facelift
ASA Contracting Ltd. installed the trusses on the Crowsnest Community Pool on Thursday, May 17. According to Mel Bohmer, Manager of Development and Trades with the municipality, there is a cost and durability benefit to installing a sloped roof over a flat roof, which the facility had before. "With the freeze-thaws that we get here in the Crowsnest Pass, you're redoing flat roofs every 10 years, and this one was already past its prime. With the sloped roof, we should be good for the next 25 years," he says.
